Meadow Barn

34 X 46 feet | 1840s | Northern Indiana

This frame was built by New England timber hewers. Northern Indiana was rich with hard wood timber so even the roof boards on this barn are hard wood. Very unusual! The barn was used to store hay in the winter.

 

Details:

  • 1560 sq. ft .+ option for 2nd floor. (Could add loft system in rafters)

  • Hewn White and Red Oak, Beech, Ash, Black Walnut

  • Wonderful first cut wood

  • Hardwood frame in excellent condition

  • Restored frame, erected on your foundation, with original roof boards.

 

Possibilities:

Spacious frame could make a 1500+ sq. ft. great room or a home. Could serve as barn, restaurant, studio, vintage vehicle storage. Endless possibilities!
